TALKS WITH THE LIAISON BODIE OF MONTENEGRO
On May 12 and 13, 2026, in Podgorica, the liaison bodies of the Republic of Serbia and the of Montenegro, held the meeting on the implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Montenegro on social security, in the field of health insurance.
It was discussed about issues related to the implementation of the Agreement, presented specific disputed cases, and exchanged overviews of the current state of health care costs. Also, both sides were informed about changes in legislation in the field of health insurance. Agreements that have been reached aim to improve the efficiency and quality of implementing the Agreement, ensuring that insured persons have easier access to healthcare in the other contracting state.
One key point discussed was the introduction of electronic exchanges for healthcare cost calculations between the relevant institutions of both countries. Representatives from the Republic of Serbia informed their colleagues from Montenegro about the projects they are currently undertaking to implement electronic data exchange with other countries.

ZPIZ - Notification on amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Act of the Republic of Slovenia
The Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance of Slovenia has submitted a notification regarding the amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Act (hereinafter referred to as ZPIZ-2O) that entered into force on 1 January 2026. The aforementioned amendments relate to new conditions for exercising rights and amounts of benefits from pension and disability insurance, as well as changes in the method of pension adjustment.

ZPIZ - Notification on adjustment of pensions and annual allowance to pension beneficiaries from the Republic of Slovenia
The Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance of Slovenia has submitted a notification regarding the adjustment of pensions, according to which, starting from January 1, 2026, pensions in the Republic of Slovenia are regularly adjusted in the amount of 4,2%. Also, pensions will be subject to an extraordinary adjustment of 1% as of March 1, 2026, and the increased pensions will be paid with the May 2026 pension payments, with calculations starting from March 2026.
In 2026, Slovenian competent institution will again pay an annual allowance to pension beneficiaries residing in the Republic of Serbia (and other countries).

MEETING WITH THE LIAISON BODY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY
A meeting of the liaison body of the Republic of Serbia and the liaison body of the Federal Republic of Germany, was held in Landshut, on 18 and 19 March 2026, regarding the implementation of the Agreement between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Federal Republic of Germany on Social Security, in the field of pension and disability insurance.
During the meeting, matters relating to the payment of pensions, determining the insurance period and the conditions for exercising the right to a pension were considered, as well as the content of bilingual forms and other issues concerning the implementation of the Agreement. Information was also exchanged on changes in legislation in the field of pension and disability insurance in both contracting states. Relevant arrangements were agreed upon with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of the implementation of the Agreement.

VIDEO CONFERENCE BETWEEN THE LIAISON AUTHORITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA AND THE LIAISON AUTHORITY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TUNISIA
A meeting between the delegation of the Republic of Serbia and the delegation of the Republic of Tunisia was held in Belgrade on February 23 and 24, 2026, via video conference, to discuss the bilingual forms that will be applied in the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia on social security (Agreement), in the field of pension and disability insurance and in the field of health insurance.
Representatives of the Institute for Social Insurance, the Republic Fund for Health Insurance, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance and the Social Insurance Fund for military insured persons from the Serbian side, and representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, the National Social Insurance Fund, the National Health Insurance Fund and the National Pension and Social Protection Fund from Tunisian side attended the talks.
The talks aimed to determine content of the bilingual forms and to create conditions for the implementation of the Agreement. Also, the application of the Agreement in the area of exercising the right to health care and the conditions for exercising the right to a pension under the regulations of both countries were discussed..
It was agreed that another video conference would be held in the following period, where all forms necessary for the implementation of the Agreement would be determined and other aspects of cooperation and coordination between the institutions of the two countries in the implementation of the Agreement would be agreed upon.

Steering Committee of the International Social Security Association European Network (IEN)
The members of the Steering Committee of the European Network (IEN) of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) held their first online meeting on 20 January 2026. The main objective of the meeting was to establish the work plan for the IEN for the triennium 2026–2028, corresponding to the mandate of the Steering Committee.
It was agreed that the work plan should reflect the needs and priorities of the members of the European Network. In line with the survey conducted among the European ISSA members, key areas and topics for consideration within the IEN were identified. In addition, a preliminary agreement was reached on the methodology of work during the three‑year mandate of the Steering Committee.
Following this meeting, an online meeting of the members of the Secretariat of the Steering Committee was also held. This meeting aimed to deepen discussions on the topics identified as priorities for further elaboration and consideration.
